Young Tez was born on May 19, 1988 in Chicago, IL. He took to sports at a young age and played them all throughout his life. In High School he took a liking to rapping as him and his friends would freestyle on the bus on the way to and from athletic events, before school in the lunch room, after school in the music room, in the locker room, and pretty much anywhere they all were at the same time. He then began to write songs and record them himself at homemade studios. Tez dropped a series of mixtapes with a crew he started called FireSqad and then continued on solo. He went to college in Atlanta, GA and met up with his football roommate and began another crew, (218 The Studio/BSE). From there him and his homie O.G. dropped a series of solo mixtapes and group mixtapes. In 2008 Young Tez was blessed with the opportunity to go on a Midwest Tour opening up for Twista in his “Money to Blow Tour”. Doing that, his fan base grew even larger. He continued dropping projects until late 2011, where he linked up with Songwriter/ Artist Lambo Lux (Writer of Lil Wayne’s How to Love) and did a song. He flew to Los Angeles California and him and Lambo Lux put together a hit song/video “I Get Doe”, which was shot by BLKDMNDS. Shortly after, Tez linked up with Oakland’s own Mistah FAB and dropped his 2nd single “Work” (video shot also by BLKDMNDS). By now his fans have grown tremendously and he still strived for more. In 2013 Tez then linked up with Too Short’s artist Beeda Weeda and came up with BAYCAGO, a song for Chicago and the Bay Area (Video shot by AJ Filmz). Young Tez is still grinding and expanding his works throughout the country and has a drive like no other. He is working with artists he manages on his label and shooting videos for other artists. If there’s something that needs to be accomplished, he gets it done.
