Adrian Peterson believes next season is when the Minnesota Vikings will become a super bowl contender once again. The Vikings made the playoffs last season for the first time in 3 years, but they are still not seen as one of the most dominant teams in the NFL by majority of the league’s viewers.
Adrian Peterson spoke with ESPN about the upcoming season. In an interview he said, “We are going to have a good chance to win it this year, win everything. Sit back and watch. Sit back and watch. You can be like, ‘I thought you guys were at least a couple of years away.’ Nope. You sit back and watch, this year.”
After last year’s NFL draft, Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook put in their opinions about all of the teams in the league. They picked the odds for the Vikings to win the Super Bowl, they settled at 18-1.
Adrian Peterson won the NFL rushing title last season. He ended last season with 1,485 yards. He has been the NFL rushing leader 3 times during his career. Even with winning such a great individual award, Peterson felt last season wasn’t satisfying enough. He believed he could have done more for the team. According to ESPN.com, “He told TheMMQB.com that winning another rushing title is a “seed that’s been planted,” but his No. 1 focus is on winning a championship”.
When asked about how important is winning a championship to you, this is what he had to say. “It is my everyday life, what I think of every day. Mostly it’s that Super Bowl. Then the whole world will remember you.”
